Thumbnail Credit (velonews.com) (Photo: Tim De Waele): Richie Porte nearly won yellow at the Dauphine. He's one of the top favorites for the Tour de France as well. Photo: Tim De Waele | TDWsport.comThumb Overlay."There was a moment early in last year’s Tour de France when Richie Porte could have simply given up.

A puncture at the worst possible moment - with about five kilometers to go in stage 2 - saw him desperately wait as neutral support slowly changed his wheel.

As he stood by the bicycle, the peloton barreled into Cherbourg for an uphill sprint won by Peter Sagan."

Fuji Jari.

Thumbnail Credit (bicycling.com): The Jari bike gets a bit of DNA from 'cross, and a bit from light-duty touring Photograph courtesy of Fuji"Aside from e-bikes, the hottest trend in bicycles is probably the “adventure bike.” Companies interpret this style of bike in different ways, but the basic outline is a drop-bike with clearance for wide 700c tires (and, in some cases, 650b “road plus” tires); disc brakes; a generous compliment of accessory mounts; low gearing; dirt road/bad road/off-road capable geometry; and some effort made to enhance vertical compliance.

Imagine a cyclocross bike and a light touring bike got busy one cold winter night: the adventure bike would be the resulting offspring."

This is the CruX Expert X1 (Robin Wilmott / Immediate Media)"Intended as a pure cyclocross machine, the new CruX has no pretensions of being a gravel bike - it can leave that to the very capable Diverge.

Specialized has employed its Rider First Engineering philosophy to the CruX for the first time, meaning that every frame size is designed to best suit the size and weight of riders who are going to be using it, resulting in fine, consistent handling."
