Terpstra wins Eneco Tour as Dennis crashes out.
"Niki
Terpstra (Etixx QuickStep) emerged as the winner of the Eneco
Tour
after heavy rain and slippery roads turned the final stage into a
classic and leader Rohan Dennis (BMC) crashed and abandoned the race.
Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data) won the stage on the lower slopes
of the Geraardsbergen climb, beating Terpstra and Oliver Naesen (IAM
Cycling) with a huge final effort." (cyclingnews.com) (Photo: Tim

Mavic Ksyrium Pro Disc Allroad review.
"The Allroad wheelset is a
tough, versatile and rapid way to mix up your riding.
Highs: Responsive, tough and reasonably light. Lows: Not a cheap solution. To cater for today’s drop bar bikes with unpaved road abilities, Mavic has launched the disc-only Ksyrium Pro Disc Allroad - adding beef to the Ksyrium family’s riding credentials." Compton wins women's Jingle Cross World Cup.
"Katie
Compton dominated the second round the UCI Cyclocross World Cup at
Jingle Cross riding away from a strong field to take a convincing
victory, in what was a short 37-minute race. The American left
Frenchwoman Caroline Mani and US compatriot Kaitlin Antonneau to battle
it out for second and third, respectively.
7Compton's win was enough to bump her up into the overall World Cup lead." (cyclingnews.com) (Photo: Tim De Waele) September

Roads to Ride – The Basilica San Luca.
"Cycling
has its theatres and many are in remote and rural settings. This makes
them enjoyable to ride as what can be a packed climb is deserted the
rest of the year but this means the sport takes place far away from the
people. Here is a climb that starts right out of one of Italy’s major
cities.
The Via San Luca starts in Bologna in the region of Emilia Romagna in Italy. It is 1.8 km long and averages 10.8%." (inrng.com) (Photo: Cor Vos) September

Lock test 2016.
"Like
a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, the security of your
bike is only as good as the best opportunity it offers a would-be
thief. Did you leave your bike locked up overnight at uni or the train
station or the pub? Did you choose the cheaper cable lock instead of
the heavier, more expensive D-lock? Did you leave your bike unlocked in
the garage while you went away on holidays? All these situations are
opportunities for thieves, and common ways for bikes to be stolen." (rideonmagazine.com.au)

Lance Armstrong: If the court case goes the
wrong way then we’re out on the street.
"Lance
Armstrong says in his own podcast with actor Ben Foster that if the
judge in the U.S. whistle blower case rules against him, then he will
be “out on the street.” “We are down to one case, me versus the United
States of America, Floyd Landis – it’s a heavy case.
If it goes the wrong way for us, then we are on the street. So it’s pretty heavy. Let’s hope it doesn’t go the wrong way." (cyclingweekly.co.uk) (Photo: Graham Watson) September

Peter Sagan moves closer to overall lead at
Eneco Tour.
"Rohan
Dennis, the current overall leader at the Eneco Tour after the first
three stages, pointed to Peter Sagan (Tinkoff) as the biggest threat to
his white leader's jersey after Sagan won stage 3 and crept closer to
the overall lead.
Sagan is now in second place, only three seconds behind the Australian." (cyclingnews.com) (Bettini Photo) September
