Dideriksen of Denmark won the women’s World Championship in a close

Chasing rainbow stripes: Chloe Hosking on her
chance of becoming the first Australian women’s world road race
champion.
"A
small bathroom in Girona might seem to have little connection with the
vast deserts of Qatar but if Chloe Hosking has got things right, the
former will help her conquer the latter in the women’s world
championship road race this weekend. The Australian sprinter has been
one of the quickest women this season and has set her sights on taking
the rainbow jersey on Saturday." (cyclingtips.com.au)

champion?
"It’s
finally here! Nine months after the women’s peloton first toed to the
line, the 2016 UCI road season comes to an end in the same place it
started: the Qatari desert.
In an Olympic year it’s tough to call the UCI Road World Championships the pinnacle event of the season, but the rainbow jersey is still the most coveted jersey out there." (cyclingtips.com.au) (Photo: Cor Vos) October

Lachlan Morton Q&A: Motivated,
focused, confident.
"Lachlan
Morton will return to the WorldTour next year after signing a two-year

the overall title, which caught the attention of the South
African-based team.
But it won’t be the 24-year-old Australian’s first foray at the WorldTour level." (velonews.com) Photo: Chris Case October

Elite women’s TT worlds full of redemption
stories.
"Cycling
is full of stories about resilience, sometimes distilled into one
single day of racing, and other times played out over the course of

trial championships displayed three storylines, all similar, but each
with its own twist on redemption and resilience." (velonews.com) (Photo: Tim de
