Le Tour de La Provence

The Tour de La Provence Stage 2 began yesterday at around 11:30 am CET, and is due to conclude with a mountaintop finish tomorrow (Sunday). The second stage was won by Frenchman Bryan Coquard, who outsprinted rivals Julian Alaphilippe and Filippo Ganna to claim his second win of the season. But Ganna will retain leadership of the race heading into tomorrow’s big finish.

Tour of Oman

The Uno-X team bounced back from a wildcard omission from the Tour De France by securing victory in the Tour of Oman stage 3. After his teammates were ruled out, 23-year-old Danish cyclist Anthon Charmig decided to change tactics and saved his legs for the last climb to the finish. It was an inspired decision, and one that eventually secured him victory for Uno-X.

2022 Vuelta a Murcia

Alessandro Covi was able to secure the victory in the 2022 edition of Vuelta a Marcia, as he sprinted away from American Brandon McNulty to claim the win. McNulty was leading the race with 5km to go, before Covi caught him in dramatic fashion. The 183.2 km race began in Murcia, Fortuna, before finishing at Puerto de Cartagena on the Mediterranean coast.

Superprestige Gavere

Dutch world champion cyclist Lucinda Brand swept the competition aside to take the Superprestige Gavere title for her 19th win of the season. The 32-year-old was the dominant force last season, and is poised to claim all three top ‘cross series this season as well. Denise Betsema and Annemarie Worst made up the top three on the fast but muddy Belgian course.

Of course, the key cycling event everyone knows about is the Tour de France, but there are plenty of other great events as well that you can follow. These are just a few of the really exciting and impressive events that you can follow and try to make the most of when it comes to enjoying cycling events.
