Tour de France: Van der Poel wins at
Mûr-de-Bretagne.
"Van
der Poel: I have no words. I gambled a little bit and I
played everything I got the first time already. I knew I
had to get bonus seconds if I wanted the yellow jersey,
and I knew it was the last chance to get the yellow
jersey. It's incredible."

France.
"Despite
the annual decrying of La Course as a lackluster nod to
equality on the part of ASO, the racing itself is always
far from lacking. Saturday was no different, and with
wall-to-wall coverage, viewers were able to witness the
non-stop attrition of women’s racing as continued
attacks came and went even before the final fireworks
started on the Côte de la Fosse aux Loups."

longing.
"The
last time Julian Alaphilippe won at the Tour de France,
at the opposite end of the country on the sun-drenched
roads of Nice, he was racing with a broken heart. His
father - a musician, like his son - had just died after
a long illness."

The peloton reacts to a chaotic opening day
of the Tour.

last hour of the opening stage of the 2021 Tour de
France was interrupted by two horrific crashes that
affected most of the peloton. The first was caused by an
oblivious fan more interested in getting on TV than
watching the race."
