Giro d’Italia Previews of Stages 9-12.
"It is
the end of the first week of competition at the Giro
d’Italia and now we are deep into the Mezzogiorno, based
on the Giro’s need to go somewhere and maybe catch some
sun. Except that whenever they do long stages in Abruzzo
it rains and everyone is exceptionally miserable."

the Most Golden Ever.
"The
problem with golden ages is that we don’t tend to know
we’ve been in one until it’s gone. This is an attempt to
break that trend by declaring that cycling is now in the
midst of a gilded era that will stand comparison with
similar periods in the past."

"Roger
raced as a pro for 16 seasons, from 1969 to 1984, and was
an absolute beast during the 1970s. Mention the name Roger
De Vlaeminck and the race that first comes to mind is
Paris Roubaix. He won it a record four times."

"His
most recent training ride, taking in almost 150 km and
4,000 meters of climbing including some gravel stints, was
noteworthy in a couple of ways. One: it’s quite a big,
climb-y ride. Two: Froome posted his training playlist …
