Oura Ring 3: First Impressions After A
few Days.
"The
Oura Ring aims to track your daily activity, as well
as nightly sleep. And then based on that will give
you a readiness score each day. It does this using
small sensors on the inside of the ring band,
inclusive of heart rate tracking."
By Ray Maker (dcrainmaker.com) (Photo: Ray Maker) October 28, 2021 Wahoo Elemnt Bolt review:
Second-generation cycling computer sees color screen,
improved mapping and more.
"The
short history of Wahoo cycling computers can be
likened to an ever-swinging pendulum, in which Wahoo
switches its focus between launching a feature-rich
device, then trying to cram those features into a
smaller package and back again."
By Josh Croxton (cyclingnews.com) (Image: Josh Croxton) October 27, 2021 Brompton re-launch 2022 bike line up.
"Brompton
has announced the launch of its 2022 range where its
folding bike will now be available in A Line, C Line
and Electric C Line. This change comes as the
company gears up for another significant year,
expecting to sell over 100,000 bikes."
By Liberty Sheldon (cyclingindustry.news) (Image Credit not Found) October 27, 2021 All-City Gorilla Monsoon Review.
"The
All-City Cycles Gorilla Monsoon Apex brings way more
versatility than the majority of gravel bikes on the
market, rather than being a slack angled road bike
with larger tire clearances the Monsoon is more of a
dropped bar mountain bike."
By Stu Kerton (road.cc) (Image Credit not Found) October 26, 2021 Best electric bikes: Assisted bikes for
road, gravel, commuting and more.
"When
you're looking to invest in one of the best electric
bikes you can buy, the amount of choice out there
can be daunting. Gone are the days when eBikes were
a rare novelty and only a small handful of household
name brands actually sold them."
By Mildred Locke (cyclingnews.com) (Image credit: Courtesy) October 25, 2021 Best Headphones: Earphones for cyclists
riding indoors.
"The
best headphones for cycling aren't necessarily
specifically designed for the job of accompanying us
on the bike, but a combination of selected features
and qualities make them ideal for the rigors of
two-wheeled adventure."
By Josh Ross (cyclingnews.com) (Image credit: Getty Images) October 25, 2021 Indoor Cycling and Pregnancy: Is it
safe?
"With
the days getting shorter, darker and colder, lots of
cyclists are migrating indoors. While for most
people, the transition to indoor cycling is simply a
matter of hitching up a bike to one of the best
turbo trainers and getting started."
By Mildred Locke (cyclingnews.com) (Image credit: TrainerRoad) October 25, 2021 LSD and shaved tires - TJ Eisenhart and
Colin Strickland’s Big Sugar Gravel bikes.
"TJ
Eisenhart and Colin Strickland are two of the
1,000-plus racers who will take the start line at
Big Sugar Gravel in Bentonville, Arkansas on
Saturday. Both seasoned racers have unique takes on
what the right set-up - and look - is for the
rough-gravel course."
By Ben Delaney, Betsy Welch (velonews.com) (Photo: Betsy Welch) October 23, 2021 BikeBox Alan Triathlon Aero Easyfit
Bikebox.
"The
BikeBox Alan Triathlon Aero Easyfit Bikebox is a
secure, easy-to-pack thing that's brilliantly
thought out. The wide section for handlebars means
there's no need to start dismantling your bike, but
that extra bulk can cause a few issues with car
trunks and check-ins."
By Liam Cahill (road.cc) (Image Credit not Found) October 23, 2021 Review: Farr Arm Rests provide light,
customizable Carbon Aero Bolt-On position support.
"This
complete setup is light & self-contained, and
can be quickly swapped from one flat MTB bar or
road/gravel dropbar with minimal fuss or need for
readjustment. The trick of course is that it
requires a 31.8mm diameter clamping area that is at
least 80mm wide."

"Carefully
working my way through Phil Cavell's “The Midlife

startling scope, I have found that whenever I
mention the title it causes people to smile or
laugh indulgently."

Garmin’s Connect IQ Platform Updates:
A Round-Up.
"First
up, at a high level for those not familiar –
Garmin’s Developer platforms are basically two
components. The first piece is the web API
platform piece. This is for doing things like
pushing structured workouts (think Training Peaks)
or routes (think Strava/Komoot) to Garmin
devices."
By Ray Maker (dcrainmaker.com) (Photo: Ray Maker) October 14, 2021 Bikepacking, Adventure, Carbon,
Bamboo: More from the Sea Otter Classic.
"Our
takeaways from day two are that you can expect 3D
printing technology to show up in more and more
places within the cycling industry and that
touring is very much “in” right now with so many
booths filled with bikes designed for multi-day
adventures."
(bicycling.co.za) Photos by Dan Chabanov October 14, 2021 Best cycling computers: Route mapping
and data tracking, the best bike computers will do
it all.
"The
best cycling computers are a far cry from the
original ‘Cyclometer’ invented by Curtis H Veeder,
an analogue device that counted how many times a
wheel rotated, and converted that into distance
using a formula."

Derailleur & carbon Crankset?
"While
this unmarked derailleur attempts to fly under the
radar, the Hall Lock lever gives it away as a TRP
product. That lever locks the movement of the
B-Knuckle in relation to the mounting bolt keeping
the noise down and adding stability to the
system."

Zero power meter pedals.

acquiring Speedplay in 2019, Wahoo took their time

Zero road bike pedals."
By Tyler Benedict (bikerumor.com) (Image Credit not Found) October 11, 2021 Pirelli P7 Sport tire.
"The
Pirelli P7 Sport is a grippy, robust and
dependable tire that's great for training and
general riding - especially considering the price.
It's a little heavy and fairly slow to accelerate,
though, and its slight sense of sluggishness never
completely goes away."

"Much
like normal navigation on Google Maps, the app

have distance and the ETA as well as an option to
share your route with others."

FR945 & Fenix 6 No Longer Shows Pool
Temperature.
"Back
in August Garmin released a minor firmware update
for the Forerunner 945 multisport GPS watch.
The update was about as boring as they get except
oddly, that the FR945 will no longer gather
temperature data during a pool swim. It’ll however
continue to do so in an openwater swim."

reproducible way."

reality is that once a bike is stolen, the
likelihood of recovering it is extremely low.
Alterlock's GPS tracker looks to change that by

other anti-theft features."

Wolf Tooth B-RAD 4-Slot Mounting Base.
"The
Wolf Tooth B-RAD 4-Slot Mounting Base is literally
the backbone of the Wolf Tooth B-RAD system. It
uses the existing water bottle mounts on your
frame and lets you add or reposition bottles or
