Pressure piles on Wiggins over tax avoidance
scheme.
"The charitable trust the
former Tour champion invested in reported to have received
donations of £176 million and to have paid out only
£150,000. Investors stood to save around £140,000, before
the scheme was shut down.
MP Margaret Hodge said that Wiggins had shown a “deeply unsavory trait to his character.” She also called for Wiggins to have his knighthood rescinded and said for him to be titled “Sir” was “inappropriate." (velonews.com) (Photo: ©Tim De Waele | Getty Images) March 8, 2018

Chris Froome: Lappartient should raise his
concerns in person - not through the media.
"Lappartient was hard hitting
in an interview with the BBC on Wednesday. As well as
calling for a UCI anti-doping investigation into TUE use by
Bradley Wiggins and Team Sky, he said that if Froome
competed in the world’s biggest race with the possibility of
a ban hanging over him, it would be harmful to the sport’s
reputation."

Geraint Thomas on Select Committee Team Sky
allegations: ‘I never experienced anything like that’.
"Geraint Thomas says that his

by UK parliament’s Select Committee report published on
Monday. “Yeah, all I can speak of is my experience, I never
experienced anything like that in the team. That’s all can

UCI to roll out guidelines for 'more respectful'
podium ceremonies.
"The recent push to remove
podium hostesses from post-race ceremonies will not be

the gender biases that go along with the traditional role
but says that compromises can be made to have a more

Bardet using challenging Tirreno as Tour de

"By his own admission, and
despite a highly impressive start to the season, Romain
Bardet is at Tirreno Adriatico to 'learn' and possibly
target the one summit finish the Italian race offers. The
Frenchman, who won the Classic de l'Ardèche Rhône Crussol in
February, and finished second in Strade Bianche at the start

"He had a lot of rib pain,

Increased prize money shows respect, says Lizzie
Deignan.
"There are certain races in the
year, like Flanders for instance, where you're up for
selection and the Women's Tour is now one of those. I think
the prestige of the event is definitely high and it's not
like a rider thinks there's loads of money there, I can go
there and race, but it's definitely an incentive in terms of
the level that race is on."

"Sit up and beg, step-through
