Mixed results for Project 1t4i sprinters in Paris-Nice.
John Degenkolb and Marcel Kittel
CyclingNews: John Degenkolb made the cut in the second stage of Paris-Nice, catching on to the lead group when the wind broke up the field in a “crazy race.” The Project 1t4i rider was happy with his third place on the stage, behind winner Tom Boonen, while fellow sprinter Marcel Kittel mourned his lost chance.

Hushovd getting race rhythm at Paris-Nice.
Thor Hushovd (BMC) was dropped from the breakaway.
CyclingNews: While his BMC teammates Tejay Van Garderen and Taylor Phinney were at the forefront of Paris-Nice on its early stages, former world champion Thor Hushovd has been rather discreet at the event until now. The Norwegian showed a good performance on stage one, the 9.4km time trial last Sunday, where he finished in 14th postion, 17 seconds down on winerr Gustav Larsson (Vacansoleil-DCM). But on Monday, Hushovd was a victim of the echelons like many others and was not in the mix for the sprint for stage victory in Orléans.

BMC's Greg Van Avermaet Talks Strade Bianche
PEZ: One of the strong men of Saturday’s Strade Bianche was Belgium and BMC rider, Greg Van Avermaet, winner of last year's Paris-Tours. On Monday, with the dust washed away, he took time to explain to PEZ readers about his Saturday on the ‘white roads’ of Tuscany, a ride that saw him attack on numerous occasions, netted him a spot in the group behind Cancellara, and fifth place in Siena.

Pro Race Bike: Francisco Mancebo's Pinarello Dogma 2.
2012 Pinarello Dogma 2 Race Bike
Bicycling: Francisco Mancebo was the top U.S.-based cyclist in 2011. The Spaniard dominated the National Racing Calendar, winning the Tour of the Gila, Sea Otter Classic, Tour de Beauce, Redlands Bicycle Classic, and Cascade Cycling Classic. The only thing missing was glory in America's two biggest races, the Tour of California and Colorado's USA Pro Cycling Challenge (Mancebo's Realcyclist.com team didn't get invited to either event). In 2012, his renamed Competitive Cyclist Racing Team is looking to right that wrong, attacking the season aboard the Pinarello Dogma 2.

VeloNews: Brake pads are not exactly exciting, and for that I apologize. But excitement isn’t really the goal with anything brake related, is it? Mid-corner surprises should generally be spurned in favor of boring old durability and predictability.

Felt DA2 review.
Felt da2: felt da2
Felt have a great reputation for smooth, efficient, energy-saving long-haul bikes. BikeRadar verdict: 4 out of 5 stars. "Felt’s DA2 is still a superbly comfortable bike. Frame and wheel flex are obvious in the handling if you’re a more muscular rider, though."

Radical new pave-busting Trek Madone breaks cover...

Cancellara debuts new Trek at Strade Bianche.
Cables enter the frame directly at the head tube on the new trek classics bike. the steerer tube is still tapered but it's unclear if the dimensions have been downsized for additional flex as compare to the current madone:
BikeRadar: Fabian Cancellara (RadioShack-Nissan) not only scored a big win at last weekend's Strade Bianche, he also appeared to do so on a brand-new Classics-specific bike from team sponsor Trek that we expect to be officially unveiled later this spring.
