After the first weekend of the
US Gran Prix of Cyclocross, the battle for the Elite Men’s overall
seemed poised to be a battle between two riders, Tim Johnson and Jeremy
Powers, teammates on the Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld.com team.
The
national ’cross scene goes quiet this weekend as the top elite riders
turn their eyes to Europe or their own backyards before the Jingle
Cross/Bay State NACT finale double weekend after Thanksgiving. Tim
Johnson (Cannondale Cyclocrossworld), Katie Compton
(Planet Bike) and Danny Summerhill (Holowesko Partners) are among the
riders headed to Europe before the third round of the World Cup
November 27 in
Koksijde, Belgium.

fraught with disagreements and liabilities. And just like with
politics, the process goes on whether we participate or not.
