As the breakaway swept into Cambria at the end of Wednesday’s stage, one of the Amgen Tour of California’s youngest riders sat tucked into the six-rider group. As news broke of Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies rider Will Routley’s victory on Stage 4 of the 2014 Tour of California, the majority of cycling fans could be forgiven for being unable to name any of his previous victories or his team’s name.
