RadioShack-Nissan down to a single card after starting 2012 Tour de France with a full hand.

VeloNews: Once a five-headed monster — a super team consisting of GC riders Andy Schleck, Fränk Schleck, Chris Horner and Andreas Klöden, as well as Tour-proven sport director Johan Bruyneel — RadioShack-Nissan has suffered a series of decapitations at the 2012 Tour de France.

Robert Millar: One second more.
Tour favorite Bradley Wiggins (Sky)
CyclingNews: Approaching the second weekend the team managers will be looking back at the opening stages and counting what riders have survived the early skirmishes, the crashes and the dodgy stomachs. First strike in the GC war has definitely been won by Wiggins with a great display on the second half of the prologue and though the ten seconds gained aren't massive in reality every one of those counts in the psychological struggle for the top place on the Paris podium.

VeloNews: Evans has surely been in the wind tunnel and they’ll have tested whether he was faster with a bottle or without. If it was on his bike, he’s faster with it. As long as he starts with some fluid in the bottle, it’s legal to use it. Otherwise, the UCI can call it an aerodynamic aid.

Ashenden: Understanding USADA’s Armstrong charges.
[Michael Ashenden] Anti-doping researcher and former UCI Biological Passport review board member, Michael Ashenden
VeloNews: When news broke last month that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency was filing formal doping violation charges against Lance Armstrong, Johan Bruyneel, Michele Ferrari and three team staff members, one of the most damning sentences in the official 15-page charging letter was that USADA claimed it had collected blood from Armstrong in 2009 and 2010 that was “fully consistent with blood manipulation including EPO use and/or blood transfusions.”

Is The Tour de France Boring?
Tour de France wind turbine
InnerRing: The last few stages of the Tour de France have not been the most exciting. Cyclesport’s Lionel Birnie has a good piece on the topic. The stage starts, the gears clunk and a few riders are given a day ticket to escape the bunch on the condition they return, like residents of an open prison who must return before nightfall.

CyclingWeekly: André Greipel won the Tour de France yesterday with the help of Lotto-Belisol team-mate Greg Henderson, but there were a number of helpers trying to position their sprint captains. It happens every day in the Tour: rider after rider, until the lead-out man takes over to drive his leader to the line.

Thieves steal 40 bikes in LA
BikeRadar: Taking place across six Southern California counties, it almost seemed inspired by the movies. A high-end theft ring targeted specific items, posed as interested buyers to get crucial information, and then pulled numerous snatch and grab jobs often in broad daylight. It wasn’t cars or high-end electronics these thieves were after, it was high-end bicycles.
