CyclingNews: David Millar took Garmin-Sharp's first stage victory in the 2012 Tour de France, winning the 12th stage in Annonay Davézieux, a stage in which the peloton decided to take its rest. He outsprinted Jean-Chriistophe Peraud of AG2R, with Egoi Martinez (Euskaltel-Euskadi) third. They and two others were the remnants of a large early escape group.
