Race leader Bradley Wiggins (Sky Procycling) "relaxes" for the media on

Tomorrow the mighty Col du Grand Colombier will feature in the Tour de
France for the very first time. This challenging climb will allow the
grimpeurs to flex their sinewy muscles and coming halfway through the
race, it has real potential to impact on who will stand on the top of
the podium on July 22nd in Paris.

BikeRumor:
Coming in three understated colors (silver, black, and white) and
sporting minimal graphics, the middle child in Mavic’s three-model
inaugural helmet line doesn’t draw a whole lot of attention to
itself. The flashes of woven silver Alutex reinforcement add
a bit of bling, but it’s the massive vents that call more attention to
the Plasma than anything else.

At this point in the Tour de France, the sense is that while the Tour

The race is still not at the halfway point and all the media like to

It was an easier day for Johnny Hoogerland (Vacansoleil-DCM) during
stage nine of this year’s Tour de France - compared to exactly one year
ago. It was during the ninth stage of last year’s Tour de France when
Hoogerland was taken out by a media vehicle, driven by a Euro Media
employee, whilst in the breakaway, more than five minutes ahead of the
field and with 36km remaining.
RedKitePrayer:
If the Tour de France were raced on ergometers then Brad Wiggins would
already have done enough to be declared the winner. His stage victory
on Monday in the Besançon time trial over his own Sky teammate Chris
Froome, with defending champion Cadel Evans 1:43 adrift, was so
dominant that a power expert would tell you it’s mathematically
impossible for Wiggins to lose this Tour.

The Ventoux. Roland Barthes’ God of Evil. Antoine Blondin’s witch’s
cauldron. Jacques Goddet’s condemned spot. The penultimate Sunday of

The Tour de France is chaos. It is a month in disarray, a
3500-kilometer circus in which hundreds of thousands of people all
attempt to occupy the same small spaces at the same time. Factions are
in pitched battle for position: press against teams against the
organization against police against fans.
BikeRumor:
The flagship new bike is the 2013 Roubaix SL4. The Roubaix has always
