CyclingNews: Team Sky leader: Learning lessons is important.

Photo: Martin Velits, Stijn Devolder, and Jens Mouris walk up the Sant’Elpidio a Mare climb.
VeloNews: RCS Sport chief Michele Acquarone took to Twitter on Monday to admit that Monday’s Tirreno-Adriatico stage was too extreme. The 209-kilometer route around Porto Sant’Elpidio, Italy, featured three ascents of the 27-percent Sant’Elpidio a Mare ramp.

Photo: Peter Sagan celebrates his stage win in Tirreno-Adriatico.
CyclingNews: Froome loses lead on rainy Sant'Elpidio stage.

Photo: Sky's Chris Froome leads the GC standings at Tirreno-Adriatico, but his slim advantage is hadly safe with two days of racing left.
VeloNews: This weekend’s back-to-back mountain stages in Tirreno-Adriatico saw the sport’s top stage racers test one another’s early-season form, with Chris Froome (Sky) and Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) taking decisive victories on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Photo: An impressive stage win in Tirreno-Adriatico, Joaquim Rodriguez.
VeloNation: Catalan had previously said that he’d miss race to focus on Tour de France.

Photo: As for Porte, well, chapeau, fella..
PEZ: It’s Paris-Nice. Your two team leaders are out. One’s in Italy, quietly staking his claim in that unassuming and slightly anorexic manner of his to be the favorite for this year’s Tour de France.

Photo: The Adizero Tempo Pro sunglasses are packed with features.
BikeRadar verdict: 4 out of 5 stars. "A great set of glasses with clarity of vision."

Photo: You can mount it to your stem or bars via a standard quarter-turn mount that’s held in place with O-rings.
road.cc: GPS bike computer with extra functionality when paired with a smartphone.

Photo: Scott has received more orders for their 27-inch Genius than even their 29-inch version.
MBAction: For the last year, the buzz in the mountain bike world has been all about 27-inch wheels. While this new wheel standard has become the talk of the town, many of the most well-known bike makers have not jumped on board.

Photo: Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) gasps for air.
CyclingNews: Italian rides into race lead in Porto Sant'Elpidio.

Photo: Taylor Phinney (BMC) rode solo for 120km trying to make the time cut in Tirreno-Adriatico.
CyclingNews: One rider who suffered more than most on the day was BMC's Taylor Phinney. The American was hoping to go for a stage win on the final 9.2km time trial, but instead found himself riding solo in the icy cold rain for 120km only to finish outside the time limit after the entire gruppetto quit.

Photo: Richie Porte is taking a good look his power meter.
VeloNation: Stage 5 and the lead group is on the Montagne de Lure and just two kilometres from the finish. Andrew Talansky’s already put in two bold attacks. It’s audacious racing and useful too because the accelerations have dropped several riders, you can see a second group in the background of the picture.

Photo: Most combative rider of stage 15 Nicki Sörensen (Team Saxo Bank-Tinkoff Bank)..
CyclingNews: Three of five riders said to have used a cortisone product.

CyclingNews: Claims to have doubted Armstrong over the years.

Photo: Andrew Talansky and Richie Porte proved last week that they were up to the task when the pressure was on.
VeloNews: The most common adage in cycling is that it takes a team to win, but the flipside of that is it also takes a captain around whom a team can rally.

Photo: This screen shows not only left/right power output but also the direction of the power.
BikeRadar: Ready for another option in power meters? Pioneer promised at last year's Interbike show to release the SGY-PM900 Pedaling Monitor Sensor and SGX-CA900 Athlete Cyclocomputer around April or June, and it looks like the company is making good on that.

Photo: Giant’s P-SLR 1 wheels look fast right out of the box, and they performed that way on the road.
VeloNews:  Every bike company has a personality, and Giant has always seemed particularly understated. So understated, in fact, that it may come as a surprise to learn that it’s been making aftermarket wheels since 2011.

Photo: The Race X Lite wheels are simply phenomenal.
Peloton: Just about every major bike brand has their in house component company.

Photo: Giro Air Attack helmet.
road.cc: New VR rollers, aero helmet, urban shoes, disc-equipped urban bikes and coloured Garmin cases.

Photo: The Saetta is ideal for the experienced road cyclist or advanced amateur.
BikeRadar verdict: 4 out of 5 stars. "This is a lively and enjoyable bike, just about ready to race straight out of the box."

Photo: Peter Sagan has warned against any presumption.
VeloNation: Superb Tirreno form no guarantee; ‘One mistake can cost you the race’.

Photo: Hey Rogers -- how do I beat Sky?
CyclingNews: Difficulties continue for RadioShack rider.

Photo: Past Vuelta winner Laurent Jalabert.
VeloNation: Past Vuelta winner hit by car while training.

Photo: Richie Porte has taken over the lead of the UCI WorldTour.
VeloNation: A Froome victory in Tirreno Adriatico would put Sky in a commanding position.

Photo: Tejay van Garderen (BMC) moved into second overall.
CyclingNews: Nobody had the punch to go with Porte, says BMC rider.

Photo: Erin Huck (Tokyo Joe’s watching the men’s race).
