Photo: Paris-Roubaix's Trouée d'Arenberg is the most famed and infamous cobbled sector in cycling.

Photo: Arnaud Demare (FDJ - Big Mat) wins Vattenfalls.

Photo: Cavendish glowing about Omega Pharma Quick Step.
VeloNation: Stage two winner enthusiastic after latest success.

Photo: With only one edition of the new route, it’s really hard to know what to expect.
PodiumCafe: The 2013 edition has all the build-up one could hope for. Most of the big guys have shown some form in the early season, but the weather has been such a factor that it’s hard to say definitively who has the biggest advantage.

Photo: Alberto Contador heads to the Basque Country next week to chase his third País Vasco title.
VeloNews: Alberto Contador (Saxo-Tinkoff) will be aiming for his first overall title of the season next week at the week-long Vuelta al País Vasco (Tour of the Basque Country) in northern Spain.

Photo: Eddy Merckx EMX-525 (Kent Pell).
Bicycling: Built around cutting-edge technology, these race bikes have been tested in the pro peloton—and they're fast enough for you.

Photo: Peter Sagan (Cannondale) out sprints Arnaud Demare (FDJ) in a photo finish.
CyclingNews: Slovak champion edges Demare in photo finish.

Photo: pink Tornado Tom Frits banner.
InnerRing: “Tornado Tom” is one of Tom Boonen’s nicknames but no moniker has ever stuck.

Photo: The one thing about photographing these races this year is that it completely numbs you.
CyclingTips: With two races cancelled (Nokere Koerse and Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne) and more races being shortened and rerouted becaue of miserable weather, it's been an extreme start to the Spring Classics.

Photo: Bradley Wiggins has said that his goal in the sport is not to clock up a run of successes.
VeloNation: Sky rider states he’s satisfied with form despite missing out on Catalunya podium.

Photo: Tom Boonen has said that getting through the race is encouraging after his crash in Gent-Wevelgem.
VeloNation: “There is hope,” Belgian states, speaking about knee injury and his ongoing recovery.

Photo: Right now there’s a lot of interest in Peter Sagan’s future.
InnerRing: "Here’s a short tale from 2006 when aged 15 he took on riders several years older. And beat them."

Photo: Kirsten Wild (Team Argos-Shimano) wins her second straight stage in Qatar..
CyclingNews: Dutch sprinter talks to Cyclingnews HD.

Photo: The Big Race is drawing closer.
road.cc: Four days to go! Four days to go! De Ronde is coming!

Photo: Amstel Gold Race.

Photo: With kneewarmers.
InnerRing: If you’re not yet excited about the Tour of Flanders this Sunday, perhaps this video will do the trick. It’s not new but it’s still worth watching once a year.

Photo: Garmin’s cycling computer models include the Edge 200, the Edge 510 and 810 .
CyclingTips: The Garmin Edge 810 is the successor to the Edge 800 which was hugely popular and an excellent upgrade from previous models.

Photo: Beyond fabric, beyond style, fit is king with any pants designed for the bike.
Peloton: Club Ride’s new 2013 SUB5 line produced a neck snapping double take.

Photo: It's every cyclist's worst nightmare.
BikeRadar: The sad fact is that bike theft is an incredibly common crime and, as a result, bicycle security has never been as important as it is today.

Photo: Peter Sagan, Three Days of De Panne 2013, stage one.
CyclingWeekly: Peter Sagan (Cannondale) collected a win in today's stage of the Three Days of De Panne, which he considered a training ride towards the Tour of Flanders.

Photo: USADA is pressing on with its doping investigation, without the help of Lance Armstrong.
VeloNews: It nearly went unnoticed, a quiet clause in a press release amid a torrent of Lance Armstrong clamor. It seemed like an afterthought dangling there, as more Armstrong news shipwrecked around it.

Photo: Jose Rujano will be the team's general classification hope at the Giro d'Italia.
CyclingNews: Luijkx hopeful of securing team's future.

Photo: Chris Sutton (Sky) before Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.

Photo: the affable Slovenian has certainly started 2013 in fine style with a brace of second places in two of the spring’s toughest race.
PEZ: 21st in Milan San Remo, 2nd in Dwars door Vlaanderen and 2nd again in Gent-Wevelgem last weekend behind a seemingly unstoppable Peter Sagan. Astana's Slovenian strongman Borut Bozic is a man in form.

Photo: Marijn’s teammate and training partner, Celine van Severen.
Marijn de Vries: "I’m already panting like an old horse and my wheels haven’t even touched one cobblestone yet. The moment we ride onto the cobbles, I feel my fingers. So sore. Every single phalanx is painful due to the shaking and bouncing on the cobbles we already left behind."

Photo: They say you can tell a lot about a man by his shoes.
RedKitePrayer: When you’re out on the road this spring and your eye catches the green stripe of a plump Vittoria tubular and a supple big-ring cadence, that rider is someone you don’t want to half-wheel. You want to follow. If you can.

Photo: Trigon CW02 wheels.
road.cc: Frames, wheels, seatpost and saddle... it's wall-to-wall carbon.

Photo: Capo Thermo-Roubaix gloves.
TwistedSpoke: Roubaix, the Hell of the North, conjures up all kinds of images of terrible weather: rain, crosswinds, cold temperatures and general meteorological misery. Part of what makes a true one-day classic is the horrific conditions.

Photo: the Texan is also being investigated for possible criminal charges in Spain.
VeloNation: “We are really interested that every person, Spanish or not, who has committed a crime in our country is going to be prosecuted.”

Photo: I highly recommend the Brakethrough Media page. Eye candy is its specialty. So is the zaniness of bike racing culture.
CompetitiveCyclist:  "You were at a crossroads, you said. One part of you thought that with more time you could track down better bikes. But given your poor start, you told me that under certain conditions you'd be willing to rescind last week's letter and stay put at Backcountry."
