Paris-Brussels
CyclingFans: Wednesday's Tour of Britain Stage 4 departs Carlisle at 11:00am BST (6:00am U.S. Eastern) and is expected at the finish at Blackpool at around 2:57pm BST (9:57am U.S. Eastern). Tour of Britain live streaming video should get underway at around 1:30pm BST (8:30am U.S. Eastern).

road.cc: "IG Sigma's Dan Lloyd takes us through tomorrow's stage & talks mid-race refuelling tactics."

Mark Cavendish
Peloton: "I knew the finish was downhill but I had the perfect lead-out. It was pretty textbook."

Martin Pedersen in the race lead at Tour of China
CyclingNews: Pedersen in race lead after stage 3.

Bike blog : cycling in Shanghai, China

CyclingTips: Greg LeMond is always quoted, “It never gets easier, you just go faster.” I get the sentiment, but I don’t completely agree. When you’re out of shape everything is laborious.

KHS Prescott
BikeRadar verdict: 3.5 out of 5 stars. "Great value XC package with 29er advantages but no extra kg downers."

Tyler Farrar (United States of America)
CyclingNews: "Tyler was unable to take the start at the Tour of Britain today after crashing heavily during stage one, significantly hitting his head and suffering a severe concussion."

A road waiting to be used
InnerRing: Having looked at the racing and Alberto Contador’s victory yesterday, time to look at the race itself. Were 10 summit finishes necessary? Was there a big contest for the points and mountains jersey? What can the Tour de France organisers ASO learn from this race?

CyclingNews: Evelyn Stevens is hoping to transfer her strong recent form into next week’s Worlds where she’ll compete for both her trade team, Specialized – Lululemon, and the US.

The Secret Race, Tyler Hamilton’s autobiography
Boulder Report: Last week, Bantam published The Secret Race, Tyler Hamilton’s autobiography of his time as a professional cyclist. I sat down for a phone interview with Hamilton’s co-author, Daniel Coyle, to discuss the book, the challenges in writing it, and what Coyle—a mainstream journalist who’s a sharp observer and chronicler of pro cycling—hopes it might change.

PARIS NICE 1967
RedKitePrayer: There’s been talk that an amnesty for past doping offenders is the path to a new era in clean cycling. But it’s not that easy to disperse years of pollution from a sport that is, more than ever, haunted by ghosts of doping past. An amnesty may be one step toward the goal of putting the dirty decades behind us, but it’s going to be far more difficult to purge professional cycling of its systemic sins.

Covered in Teflon?
InnerRing: Today saw the hearing of cyclist at the Italian National Olympic Commission (CONI) after he was charged with consulting Michele Ferrari, the infamous sports scientist. The case is both a farce and a serious issue.

road.cc: Olympian cites low pay and lack of women's teams, as well as focus on her PhD as reasons.

road.cc: "I was worried about British Cycling being annoyed that I've kind of, well, not talked them down, but haven't necessarily portrayed them in a glowing light ... For so many years I've had to talk about how amazing the programme is, and how well supported I am, and at times I haven't really felt 100% supported by that, but it's my job, it's what I have to say."

the SuperFly’s not only hold on to their performance longer, but likely start with a higher level of performance than most shoes.
PEZ: D2 Shoes have been handcrafting custom footwear for more than a couple of decades. We get a look inside the shop and a few thousand miles down the road in their latest addition SuperFly.

Lightweight Autobahn and Fernweg wheels
BikeRadar verdict: 3 out of 5 stars. "Disc-style speed sustain and stiff under power but slow to engage."

CyclingNews: Sheryl Crow has opened up about her reaction to former fiancée Lance Armstrong being banned for life and stripped of all his results dating back to 1998, including his seven Tour de France titles.

Grand Prix de Wallonie Profile
CyclingFans: Wednesday's Grand Prix de Wallonie departs Chaudfontaine at 11:55am CET (5:55am U.S. Eastern) and is expected at the finish at Namur at around 5:00pm CET (11:00am U.S. Eastern).  GP de Wallonie live streaming video should get underway at around 2:30pm CET (8:30am U.S. Eastern).

Filippo Pozzato
CyclingNews: Filippo Pozzato will once again face the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) at 1045am Tuesday after admitting to receiving training programs from the controversial and banned Dr Michele Ferrari from 2005 to 2009. Pozzato has already stood before CONI in late June with the Committee set to request a formal ban.

former junior national champion Louise Mahe.
CyclingWeekly: After an amazing women's Olympic road race, hailed by many as aggressive and entertaining, everyone thought the interest and sponsorship around women's racing could only improve. But it's almost done the opposite and gone back to the same post Olympic lull that happened after Athens and then Beijing.

Ridley Helium SL
road.cc: VecchioJo falls in love at second sight with the new Ridley Helium SL.

VL 1491
Stella Yu: "Each saddle is created for a specific type of cycling and cyclist, with unique shapes and designs to fit every saddle need. Saddles for the recreational cyclist tend be broader, providing greater cushioned comfort in a traditional sense. Performance and competition saddles emphasize high-tech comfort; meaning materials and saddle construction are optimized for weight, aerodynamics and comfortable support over the long haul."

Vittoria Road Racing Tires
BikeEurope: “By comparing the laboratory tests with the previous developed compound Kevlar SiO2, ISOGrip holds the identical mechanical properties, improves scratch resistance, increases wet grip and reaches a level of adherence to the ground never felt before, without any increase in the rolling resistance."

cycling, doping, Lance Armstrong, UCI, USADA, WADA
SBS: Tyler Hamilton’s tales of systematic doping during the ‘Lance Armstrong era’, made in his recently-released book, serve as further proof that generational change is afoot in professional cycling, despite claims that not enough has been done to cleanse the sport’s tarnished image.

VeloNews: Talansky (Garmin-Sharp) hit out at Jacques-Maynes (Kenda-5-hour Energy) for comments he made on Twitter in mid-August questioning whether any professional at the sport’s top level could compete without using performance enhancing drugs.

BikeBiz: In a strident article in the Daily Mail on Sunday Petronella Wyatt claims her elderly mother was knocked down by a cyclist on August 16th and then again "the other evening." Wyatt said her mother suffered a broken arm and "nearly lost the sight in her left eye".
