California Bicycle Coalition (CalBike) scored a big victory earlier
this fall when California Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 819
into law. The bill, which was sponsored by CalBike, requires Caltrans
to establish a process to enable communities to conduct pilot projects
with bikeway designs not covered in current bikeway standards.
