Vincenzo Nibali finished the mountains of the 2014 Tour de France with an emphatic exclamation point, winning the last Pyrenean stage on Hautacam. The Italian champion soloed to victory on the climb, putting more distance into his rivals. Thibaut Pinot was second, with mountains classification winner Rafal Majka in third. (cyclingnews.com)

After his brave breakaway performance yesterday, Frank Schleck was hoping to gain more time in today's final mountain stage of the Tour de France but the Luxembourgish champion went hunger flat on the final climb. Things were better for his teammate Haimar Zubeldia who moved into the overall top 10.
