When the USA Pro Challenge comes down from the mountains, where it has been the previous two days, for Thursday's stage 4 circuit race in Colorado Springs, the riders will no doubt enjoy the relatively low level elevation of 1,950 meters. BMC Racing's Tejay van Garderen was riding high at the USA Pro Challenge Wednesday when he took the stage win and overall lead at Monarch Mountain outside of Salida. He said the finish, which topped out at nearly 3,352 meters above sea level, was the highest of his career. (cyclingnews.com)

A number of Irish cyclists over the years have revealed stories of doping in the professional peloton, basing their testimony on what they had witnessed going on around them. Yesterday saw a fresh round with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) holding an expedited hearing from Kreuziger over the provisional suspension issued by the UCI. Two years ago, the Jelly Belly team was shut out of all of the big UCI stage races in the USA, but after regaining their status as one of the Continental team invitees, they can now chalk up a major stage podium placing thanks to Serghei Tvetcov's third place in the queen stage of the USA Pro Challenge at Monarch Mountain in Colorado. The weather was much better on day 3 of the USA Pro Challenge and that brought out the fans in their thousands. Travis and Angelica found some of the craziest, maddest bike fans in Colorado. The racing wasn’t too bad either! (pezcyclingnews.com)
