A man leans into the road. Doper, he yells. You suck, he yells. Doper. You suck. Tom Danielson rides closer during a stage of the USA Pro Challenge in Colorado Springs, flips him the bird. (velonews.com)

Manuel Belletti took his first his first victory for his new team when he won the bunch sprint on the final stage of the Tour du Limousin, holding off Kevin Reza and Björn Leukemans in the final dash to the line. Jens Voigt admits that his failed breakaway on stage 4 of the USA Pro Challenge was a somewhat fitting vignet that summarized his entire cycling career: after hitting out in the day's breakaway from the start of the 113km stage in Colorado Springs, he admittedly attacked too early and ended up being caught within sight of the finish line. Carter Jones (Optum) climbed his way to seventh overall

Optum Pro Cycling's Carter Jones has been knocking on the door of big-time cycling for several years, but this week at the USA Pro Challenge in Colorado he is determined to kick that door down. After four stages, the 25-year-old from Boulder is sitting seventh overall, just 49 seconds off the time of race leader and defending champion Tejay van Garderen of BMC Racing.

"Can we talk about Colorado Springs? Speaking of Mike Creed from Colorado Springs, we love Mike Creed because he is intelligent, opinionated, pleasantly caustic, insightful and honest—which means we can't talk about anything he tells us because the world, no not you, the rest of the world, has proven to us over and over and over again that it has a very low tolerance for Transparency & Reality." SRM was the first name in the power meter game and is still the largest. Especially in the WorldTour peloton, most riders use an SRM crankset and a Power Control head unit. The Power Control 7 has been a mainstay for years, but riders have complained about its lack of GPS features. (velonews.com)

A fall during training prior to the Vuelta a España on Thursday means Chris Froome had an unwelcome reminder of the multiple crashes that saw him abandon the Tour de France last July - but there was a major difference this time round. The Sky leader was uninjured from his fall and he remains fully on track for tomorrow’s start. (cyclingnews.com)

Continuing its recent tradition, the Vuelta a Espana kicks off with a team time trial but unlike last year, the opening stage will be mostly a ceremonial affair. At just 12.6km, the stage will only create small time gaps and will mostly serve the purpose of determining the first leader and give the riders a chance to start their race off on a good note.
