Van Aert out-sprints Nys for Koppenbergcross victory.

Wout Van Aert out-sprinted Belgian champion Sven Nys to take the Bpost Bank Trofee Koppenbergcross victory on Saturday in Oudenaarde. Kevin Pauwels was in a solo move for some of the elite men's race but was caught by the leaders and rode in for third place. (cyclingnews.com)

Denuwelaere disqualified and fined after Koppenberg incident.

On Saturday Jan Denuwelaere was disqualified by the jury after his maneuver in the Koppenbergcross where he blocked Sven Nys in the sprint. The rider will also receive a fine of 300 Swiss Franc. (cyclingquotes.com)

Sophie de Boer Crowned Queen of the Koppenberg.

Dutch cyclocrosser Sophie de Boer, teammate of American Elle Anderson, survived the tough climbs and tricky descents to take a solo victory over Belgians Jolien Verscheuren and Sanne Cant.
De Boer didn’t have the best start, and found herself chasing defending champion Helen Wyman and Nikki Harris after missing her pedal at the line. But on the first time up the climb, de Boer made contact with the leaders and went on to solo the last three laps, finishing with 15 seconds ahead of a chasing Verscheuren. (cxmagazine.com)

Vandewalle reflects on Brändle's Hour Record.

Arredondo hoping to ride Tour de France in 2015.

For all the speculation that follows the annual announcement of the following year’s Tour de France route, the predictions rarely come true. At least, that’s been the case for most of the past decade. In 1979, Professor Peter Elwood and his team at Cardiff University launched a long-term study investigating how people's lifestyles affected their health. The Caerphilly Cohort Study is the longest-running of its kind and involved 90 per cent of the middle aged men living in the county at the time.
