The 25-year-old sprinter joins Wiggle Honda after two years with Hitec Products.
“Over the last two seasons I've watched Wiggle Honda become one of the biggest, most professional and strongest teams in the women's peloton and to join an outfit like that is both exciting and motivating," said Hosking.
“I've raced with, against and for (Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling Managing Director) Rochelle Gilmore since I entered the senior ranks in 2009 and to now race on her team is actually something really special," said Hosking who won the bronze medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games road race in Delhi behind Gilmore. Catharine Pendrel and Mike Garrigan won maple leaf jerseys on a blue sky, cool and windy afternoon in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In both elite races the strongest riders established front groups early. Pendrel gained the lead in lap two and maintained it, holding off teammate Maghalie Rochette and British Columbia’s Sandra Walter after Stan’s NoTubes Mical Dyck washed out on a grassy off-camber corner that challenged the men’s elite field as well. The men’s race came down to a nail-biting finish as hard-chasing Geoff Kabush and Winnipeg’s Michael van den Ham nearly caught Garrigan who led from early in the first lap. (cxmagazine.com)

Photo: Now enjoying retirement after crowning his career with a new hour record, Jens Voigt chatted to Cycling Weekly about his 17 years in the peloton .
There’s much more to Mr Voigt’s career than a smiling face and gutsy breakaways. The five-time winner of the Critérium International and two-time winner of the Tour of Germany was instrumental in Carlos Sastre’s 2008 Tour de France victory, and ‘Jensie’ himself has enjoyed mhis own share of glory in La Grande Boucle.
On retirement: "Maybe I could be on an American series like CSI where I get shot and play a dead body. Nobody would hear my accent and think, “Look at that stupid German.” I can just lie there with my tongue hanging out and then they could cut me open and say: 'Ah, look at his liver, he must have really liked alcohol during his life!'” (cyclingweekly.co.uk)

Jean-Christophe Péraud (Ag2r) had a crash and was forced to chase back on

The dearth of time trialling was the biggest surprise when the route of the 2015 Tour de France was unveiled in Paris on Wednesday, and the initial feeling in the Palais des Congrès was that the innovative parcours favours the chances of young French talent Romain Bardet rather than his veteran Ag2r-La Mondiale teammate Jean-Christophe Péraud, who finished second overall this year. Six mornings a week Zahra Alizada is on her bike long before 5am, slipping through the grey pre-dawn in a small pack of women savouring the brief peace on Kabul’s normally hectic, dusty streets.
Afghans rise early, and many of them are still scandalized to see a woman in sports kit speeding past on a racing bike. The Afghan women’s cycling team know this because, as the traffic swells towards the end of their morning training at around seven, men and boys start hurling insults and sometimes stones or chunks of rubbish at the women as they ride past. "Carbon Pro Dri-Shine is a clever detailer designed to keep bikes looking showroom fresh with nominal effort and seems more effective than most I've played with to date. However, mud encrusted cross and mountain bikes will still require a bike wash blow-over and bucket rinse first." (road.cc)

Photo: is it just me or does this read like JTL wrote the questions?
"Yikes.
The recent all-holds barred, every-punch-pulled interview by Daniel Benson of CyclingSnooze is about as wet as a kiss from your Grandma… who’s lost her dentures.
When did it happen that journalists got told – and complied – to leave their opinions (or personalities even) at the door? Is it just me or does this read like JTL wrote the questions?
And the ‘The Court of Public Opinion‘ and ‘Head Held High’ captions under the images. every so slightly hamfisted there, lads." (crankpunk.com)

Photo: In general, the Tour suits him better. In Italy, Froome has an advantage over Nibali in the 60km time trial. Between Contador and Nibali, I don't see much difference.
"He has the engine and the head to give it a try." Those are the words of Paolo Slongo, Nibali's trainer, when asked for an objective assessment of his possibilities of joining the select list of riders who have accomplished the hardest double of the cycling world: to win the Giro and the Tour in the same year. Photo: Not everyone can win three World Road Championships like Marianne Vos or four Ironman World Championships like Chrissie Wellington.
Racing ahead of Mark Cavendish’s two autobiographies, American/St.Kitts and Nevis pro cyclist Kathryn Bertine, 37 years old, recently launched her third book. The first covered her career as a figure skater with an ice dancing company; the second was about her attempts to become an Olympic athlete in a range of unlikely sports but The Road Less Taken is a different book again, a series of episodes in her life as a professional cyclist and journalist. In it she travels not just a road less taken but one that leads in surprising directions. (pezcyclingnews.com)

The 2015 yellow jersey has been designed to celebrate the 40th Tour de France finish on the Champs-Élysées as well as commemorating the 1975 winner's maillot jaune.
The new jersey has a "unique collar and a silhouette with a filigree design of the Arc de Triomphe". There's also the traditional flocked Le Coq Sportif logo and the initials of Tour founder Henri Desgrange. (cyclingnews.com)
