The two biggest stage races in North America, the Amgen Tour of California and the USA Pro Challenge, are planning on holding multi-day women’s events in 2015, race officials confirmed this week. The Amgen Tour held two one-day events at this year’s event, a time trial in Folsom, and a downtown Sacramento circuit race. (velonews.com)

A new investigation into the possible murder of Italian cyclist Marco Pantani took a step forward on Wednesday when Italy’s public prosecutor in Rimini handed the case over to the police. In 2004, police determined that the 1998 Giro d’Italia and Tour de France winner had died of a cocaine overdose.
