Vuelta a España: Contador wins on Ancares.

Alberto Contador clinched the Vuelta a España title when he finished alone at the summit of the Ancares pass at the end of the penultimate stage. Having responded to a number of attacks by Chris Froome, the Spaniard accelerated away from the Briton inside the final 500 metres of the climb and was 17 seconds clear at the line. As the Tour of Britain is progressing, it is becoming blatantly obvious that OPQS rider Michal Kwiatkowski is one of, if not the, strongest riders in the race. For the second day in a row, the favorites in the Tour of Britain miscalculated their chase and allowed a strong breakaway to turn the race on its head.
