Quintana abandons Vuelta after second crash in two days.

Quintana crashed in Wednesday’s stage 11, about 20 kilometers into the 154km route from Pamplona to Santuario de San Miguel de Aralar. He abandoned on the spot. (velonews.com)

Time is ticking: is Specialized-lululemon’s crowdfunding model sustainable?

There’s always lots of electric bikes at Eurobike. Lots and lots and lots. From folding bikes to road bikes to mountain bikes to fat bikes, everything gets a motor fitted by someone. One place we weren’t expecting to find one, however, was the Lightweight stand. You know, the purveyors of German carbon über lightness that make the posh wheels and the Urgestalt frameset. Orbea recalls 715 Avant road bikes because of fork concerns.

Orbea is working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall about 715 Avant bikes and framesets, because of concerns over cracking forks. The relevant forks were for use with disc brakes. (bicycleretailer.com)

Lake CX237.

In addition to the carbon fiber sole, the Lake CX237 feature a kangaroo leather upper and a double Boa closure. The kangaroo leather gives the upper a more supple feel than many competing shoes, not to mention greater breathability.
