October 14, 2014 Racers
gathered yesterday under the glowing fall foliage for the fourth
edition of the Minuteman Road Club Cyclocross Race p/b Landry’s
Bicycles in Lancaster, MA. The morning racers faced damp course
conditions and chilly temperatures, but the clear sky brought the sun
to warm the course, removing the chill from the air on a quintessential
New England autumn afternoon. (cxmagazine.com)
October 14, 2014 For
the second year in a row, Jens

October 14, 2014 As
Australian cycling enjoys seeing the likes of Michael Hepburn, Rohan Dennis and
now Caleb Ewan
make inroads in to their World Tour careers, and await the likes of
world under 23 time trial champion Campbell

rider - is Rob Power.

October 14, 2014 The

on by in the calm and clean Belgian morning, nearly unnoticed. He was
making his return to racing off a provisional ban after he tested
positive for clenbuterol in China, at the 2013 Tour of Beijing.
That could have been curtains for the three-time world time trial champ. (velonews.com) October 14, 2014 Italy’s
Vincenzo Nibali has
the capability of racing all three grand tours in 2015 according to the
experts, but he remains unconvinced of the idea.
“The current calendar provides more space for recovery between one tour and another,” five-time Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault said Monday night. “For this reason exactly, I think it is possible to race as a challenger not only in the Giro and the Tour, but also in the Vuelta.” (velonews.com) October 14, 2014 Germany

Sky, after knee pain and a loss of power, delayed this year's start.

October 14, 2014 "The
2015 Giro d’Italia starts in Liguria – one of my favorite regions of la
bell’Italia. I’ve spent some quality time here and can attest the area
is filled with excellent rides along the coast and into the mountains
that define it. This ride from Levanto to Sestri Levante is a classic."

An
aero helmet can be a cost-effective upgrade compared to, say, an
aero-tubed frame. And as there’s often little to choose between aero
helmets in terms of aerodynamics, it can easily come down to what’s
comfortable. (bikeradar.com)

The UCI said recently that the matter had raised questions over the team’s management, while Astana has promised an internal investigation. (cyclingnews.com) October 14, 2014 Cycling
is a unique sport, freely accessible to tens of millions of fans every
year. Whether it is the estimated 15 million people who watch the Tour
de France in person each year, or the countless spectators of the
classics, regional pro races, and downtown criteriums, almost no one
has to walk through a turnstile or pay admission for the privilege.
This is one of the great allures of the sport — the ability to get up
close and personal with the riders, and truly experience the race
first-hand. (velonews.com)

October 14, 2014 How
