"Officially
speaking, cycling is a fully professional sport with minimum wage
levels for WorldTour and Pro Continental teams, regulations that ensure
that everyone racing at those levels is paid to do so.
In reality, the situation is rather different. CyclingTips has spoken to several sources within and around the pro peloton, with these individuals confirming that two scenarios exist that contradict the spirit of rules about minimum wages." (cyclingtips.com.au) November 2, 2014 Another

November 2, 2014 Despite
winning his third consecutive green jersey at the Tour de France, Peter Sagan
certainly cannot be satisfied with his 2014 season. The 24-year old
Slovak not only missed out on a stage win in the French three-week
event and once again didn’t live up to huge expectations in monuments,
but has recorded a lowest number of victories since turning
professional. (cyclingquotes.com)
November 2, 2014 The
2015 Tour de France will be making it’s return to the Alpe d’Huez and
like every other time the race has tackled the 21 hair-pin bends, there
will be a battle royal. Ed
Hood has seen the Tour on the famous climb many a time, so
here is his 2011 Alpe d’Huez adventure. (pezcyclingnews.com)

It is a step down from the WorldTour for Lachlan who has
spent two seasons with Garmin-Sharp, while the USA Continental team is
a big move for Angus
who has not raced competitively in the last four years.
“It’s great. It means that, for the first time since we were juniors,
we’ll be racing on the same team which is pretty cool,” Angus told Ride.
Lachlan
believes leaving the WorldTour is the right move from him to ensure his
enjoyment and longevity in the sport. (sbs.com.au)

Peter Sagan has said that he would swap one of his three
green jerseys at the Tour de France for a victory in the Classics.
Sagan’s increasing frustration at missing out in the monuments has
become evident, as the questions as to why he hasn’t won one continue
to mount. He has had a few close calls and, probably, the closest of
those was the 2013 Milan-San Remo where Gerald Ciolek
surprised the bunch to take victory. (cyclingnews.com)

November 2, 2014 With
lots of wins, Topsport Vlaanderen-Baloise have had an amazing season.

third in today's race in Zonhoven. Admitting that he was unable to stay

November 2, 2014 "When
we first were planning the Krempels King of the Road Challenge, I was
convinced a hundred mile route was necessary to compete with all the
grand fondos popping up worldwide. Now in our fourth year, there are
options for 10 miles, 30 miles, and the maximum distance is a metric
century — 62 miles to those of you not yet down with the metric system,
ubiquitous in cycling. Additionally a kids’ rodeo and adaptive bike
route allow any and all abilities, and an emphasis on full families, to
make it to the ride. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate that the
furthest distance is “only” 62 miles and wouldn’t want it any other
way." (iamtedking.com)
